Our Response To The Callais Decision — We Believe in Wisconsin

Wisconsin stands at a pivotal moment. For more than a decade, communities and their chosen leaders have worked to advance solutions to some of our most pressing challenges - but opportunities for meaningful action have often been limited.
Today, we are entering a new era of community power. Changes our political landscape, including fairer legislative maps, increasingly competitive elections, and growing public engagement, have created the possibility real progress in the years ahead.
And Wisconsin, we need to be prepared.
Our Wisconsin People’s Platform is a multi-faceted effort to prioritize community needs, bring together leaders, advocates, organizers, researchers, and policy experts to identify shared priorities, evaluate potential reforms, and develop a roadmap for the policy change that will build a Wisconsin were we all have Freedom, Safety, Justice, and Joy.
We’ve heard from folks from Kenosha to Ashland and everywhere in between about the issues that are top-of-mind as we head full speed into the partisan primary, onward to the November election, and beyond.
We grouped those concerns into categories and asked all candidates in the gubernatorial primary to respond with their policy proposals that address them, and invited them to answer a direct question in each category about the ways their policies would bring change and relief to Wisconsinites everywhere.
We believe that Wisconsin voters know the importance of voting their values and hope that this resource can provide some clarity and distinction as we all make our plans to vote on August 11. Then, watch for your opportunity to weigh in on the policies you’d like to see our next governor support. We’ll use that information in the next phase of developing Our Wisconsin People’s Platform - released this fall ahead of the general election on November 3!
